Meet the Guy Who Scored 31 Points For the Houston Rockets

Christian Wood broke out with the Detroit Pistons last year, and the 41-million dollar deal he received from Houston may have been the steal of this year’s free agency class

Man, this Christian Wood guy is really good.

A lot of NBA fans and people in general don’t know who Christian Wood is, but after the 31-point explosion he had for Houston in his debut for the Rockets to go along with 13 points and 3 assists, they need to learn his name.

For some Detroit Pistons fans, they’ve known that Christian Wood was capable of putting up great numbers before quarantine even started. Some NBA analysts noticed the kind of stats Wood was putting up, but dismissed them, saying that they were probably “empty stats” and that “someone had to score” on an ugly Pistons team that sputtered last year to the bottom of the standings.

As happy as certain Detroit fans are to see Wood flourish, it’s probably safe to assume none of them are happy the awful front office in Motown decided to let Wood walk in free agency. It probably hurt the most when Detroit went out and signed Mason Plumlee to a massive deal for a backup who had never had a starting role in his career; they signed…
