On Monday, we hopped on #bathindiechat and challenged our wonderful local independents to pick out some of their favourite allergy- and dietary-friendly places to eat in the city.

We thought we’d share the top picks with you.

Sal gave a shout to the Green Rocket Cafe.

One of Bath’s many truly independent eateries, the Green Rocket Cafe offers “tasty vegetarian food and great coffee in an informal setting”. The enthusiastic team are genuinely passionate about fresh food and drink, and provide organic drinks, as well as vegan and gluten free treats. They can be found on the corner of North Parade and Pierrepont Street.

For David Rose, Indian Temptation is a favourite. They offer a traditional taste of the broad range of Indian cuisine, with plenty of vegan, organic and other dietary options.

The guys at Fluid Network Solutions had good things to say about the Green Bird Cafe, located between the Royal Crescent and Circus. They have a great menu of free-range, organic and vegan food made with ingredients from across the UK, and gluten free options available too.

Last but not least, a great shout from Super Pirates who recommended Beyond the Kale. This place is a local sensation on TripAdvisor, a favourite of locals and visitors alike. “Beautiful smoothies”, say Super Pirates, and they’re also known as a great local option for vegan and gluten free eaters.
