Battle Racers joins the Decentraland Treasure Hunt
Attention, racers!
Decentraland opens its gates to the public today, February 20, 2020.
As one of Decentraland’s launch titles, Battle Racers will be participating in a massive in-world Treasure Hunt wherein thousands of prizes will be given away. Explorers will be able to find loot crates across Decentraland’s first metropolis, Genesis City, in this four day event.
For those who are new to Decentraland, it is an Ethereum-powered virtual reality platform, where individuals, brands, and studios can develop rich, interactive 3D content on a decentralized platform. By dividing this virtual world into a finite supply of parcels of land, with each parcel corresponding to a non-fungible token, Decentraland gives its users full ownership and control of their own digital space, assets, and experiences. Check out the Battle Racers arena here or type “/goto 66,-22” in the chat window and look for the giant car! During the four day public launch celebrations, the surrounding land has been transformed into a treasure hunt area where we will be showcasing cars from our various brands.
Use the WASD keys on your keyboard and move your mouse to walk in the virtual world. Inside the car-shaped arena, you’ll find two multiplayer race tracks as well as garage kiosks where you can pre-select the car and weapons that you would like to race with. Soon, you will also be able to save your loadouts on our website.
Since we are still on Early Access, races are only available on our standable web version at play.battleracers.io. On the upper right corner, you will be able to change your display name. We suggest using your Discord username for other players to easily find you.
Play for free on our practice tracks with car parts on the sidechain that you have bought from our previous sales. Competitive tracks which require entry fees and rewards will be added in a future release. If you don’t own any parts yet, you can play using one of the pre-selected Test Drive cars. Joining a race:
- You can race against AI or other players
- Approach the track and click the Play button on the podium
- Select your car and weapon loadout
- Click the JOIN button to enter the race
Using skills:
- Click the Skill icons to use your weapons
- Skills have a cooldown timer after each use
