Bread and games
The doors of the arena have been opened! Enthusiasts of illegal fights conducted in taverns all over Eos are gathering to see champions of all factions clash with each other. What else could have brought them together in close-knit teams than the desire to make a quick profit and strengthen their forces in their next attempts to make their way through the boundless underworld.
Griff, in opening his shady business, hoped for just that — he offered the champions a vision of growing power in exchange for fighting together to the delight of the public and made a fortune.
Time for a quest
In addition to the rewards offered in the arena by Griff, he also decided to commission some additional quests to make the duels more interesting. You will find them among the quests related to other game modes, which from now on are informed to you every time you enter the game.
We have also changed the way you learn about the completion of individual quests.
Balance above all
The advancing influence of Nan-Madol, the god of balance and the void, causes the underworld to change like a kaleidoscope without giving daredevils time to rest:
- Unstable Portal Gate: The number of Avalonian Tomb has been increased to a maximum of 3 per run, while Nightwalker Riot and Necropolis have been removed
- Halls of Cursed Wisdom: The number of Seraph Tomb has been increased to a maximum of 3 per run, while Nightwalker Riot, Avalonian Tomb and Necropolis have been removed
- Narrow Passages of Ancient Empire: The number of Nigtwalker Riot has been increased to a maximum of 3 per run, while Avalonian Tomb and Necropolis have been removed
- Firstborn Grounds: The number of Ancient Heroes Tomb has been increased to a maximum of 3 per run, while Nightwalker Riot, Avalonian Tomb and Necropolis have been removed
- Shadowbringer’s Lair: Increased the number of Avalonian Tomb and Seraph Tomb to a maximum of 2 per run, while removed Nightwalker Riot, Avalonian Tomb, Ancient Heroes Tomb and Necropolis. Fixed the Assassin’s Greed encounter that did not appear even though it should have
- Nan Madol’s Warren: Increased Nightwalker Riot and Ancient Heroes Tomb to max 2 per run, while removed Avalonian Tomb and Necropolis
- Necropolis: The number of Necropolis has been increased to a maximum of 4 per run, while Nightwalker Riot, Ancient Heroes Tomb, Avalonian Tomb and Seraph Tomb have been removed
- The places where Avalonian Protector and Hunteress can appear have been changed. Both have broken through to further parts of the underworld and can now be found above Stage 8 in each gate
- In addition, the reward for escorting mercenaries from the above events has been changed. From now on, you will receive 1–5 shards for each one led to the end while the intensity of the appearance of mercenaries of the events on the run has increased, and more mercenaries means a chance for a bigger reward!
To make it easier for the heroes of Eos to travel through the underworld, the deities decided to mark the level of difficulty of the events that may stand in the way of the daredevils.
The underground also received a number of smaller improvements to make travel easier:
- To emphasize the diversity in rewards and challenge, a distinction has been added in the name between Void Chests — from now on, the Void Chest in Sargon’s Chasms and the Citadel of Perdition are Great Void Chests
From now on, a smaller rune chest will be waiting for players on Circle I, at the same time the chase it will trigger will be much easier to overcome. The larger chest will still be waiting for worthy daredevils on circles 2 and 3. In addition, the names of the rune chests have been diversified. From now on, Runic Chest will stand for the easier one and Great Runic Chest for the bigger and more difficult one
From now on, the Mad Baron Tarquin will no longer be able to draw the Unseen modifier for himself. It happened that by this modifier he was a bit too powerful, even for himself
From now on Sinister Lich which can be resurrected in Tomb of Seraph will cooperate with the player’s Skeleton Maniac
In addition We:
- Changed the description of Unshaken’s Desolating Stroke skill has been corrected. Now indicates the correct number of turns for which it stuns the opponent (was 2, is 1)
- Corrected the description of the skill Unshaken Shield of the Void. Now truthfully specifies that only allied Void Lords receive Health Up
- Improved the loot shards in the game, opponents sometimes left much more than expected, so we have rerouted their pockets so they no longer play such pranks
- Improved the balance of artifacts that players acquired during visits to the underground. Specifically, we are talking about Purity Breeze artifacts, which in the epic version drew a legendary amount of speed. From now on, these artifacts will have their proper legandar rarity, unfortunately, we had to pull these artifacts from the character if any had them on. You will find them in your inventory
- Added information about the chances of particular rarity characters from shard packs
- Corrected tags and names of some artifacts in the collection
- From now on, Sinister Lich will also resurrect with his wand the Skeleton Maniac found in the Avalonian Tomb
