This year’s UX&D Away Day was about shifting our focus towards creating experiences that resonate emotionally. That’s mindful and elevates the viewers’ experience, but how do we as UX designers create such experiences? How do we evaluate them?

Dr. Norman began his career as an academic, after engineering he worked in psychology and then cognitive scientist. He has been the maestro of gizmos since publishing ‘The Design of Everyday Things’.

Don Norman studies how people interact with design, exploring the gulf between what a designer intends and what a regular person actually wants. In his book ‘Emotional design’, he describes a model to design and evaluate our designs with in three levels of Design: Visceral, Behavioural and Reflective.
