BBSCoin End of the Year Report

Dear Community,

Please find below summary of major achievements accomplished by the Devs/Community of BBSCoin project in 2018.

- Support for 5 Bulletin Board System (BBS) platform (Discuz, Phpwind, myBB, SMF, and Gnuboard)
- Development of wallet for 3 operating systems, official pool & blockchain, BBS.money (web wallet) and web miner
- Listing to 4 exchanges (Crex24, TradeOrge, Kompler.exchange, and FirstCryptoBank)
- Hardfork to CN V7 Lite algorithm for ASIC resistance, tightening security against 51% network attack, and fixed major mining bug
- Internationalization of official website, whitepaper, web wallet, and web miner into 8 languages
- Expansion of communication channels by 4 (Twitter, Discord, Telegram, and Medium)
- Systematization of BBS support groups (by Administrators, Dev/Pool Operators) and creation of 12 BBS regional/language groups
- Adoption of BBSCoin by 5 forums/sites (including Official BBS Forum)

Despite enduring efforts, due to market volatility and deep uncertainty, Devs were not able to meet the projected roadmap for 2018, especially in relations to development of web hook for web wallet API. Other aims were related to promotion and marketing, and it wouldn’t be relevant as market crashed in second half of 2018, and pushing through with the roadmap would’ve been meaningless. Hopefully, things will change for better in 2019 and Devs would find incentives/enthusiasm to get back on track and continue on with the roadmap.

On a separate note, our partner site, CoinBBS, will continue with its development.
