Is it important that BCDiploma is an ICO carried by a French company?
BCDiploma’s clients are higher education institutions around the world. The team is French, so BCDiploma gains a real legitimacy vis-à-vis the institutions to conduct its ICO in France in full transparency. Luc and Vincent, the co-founders, also made this choice out of conviction and ethics, in order to fit into the French economic environment and help build a positive image of ICOs in France.
Why is an ICO adapted for a BCDiploma project?
BCDiploma has designed an Ethereum solution based on the use of a dedicated token, the BCDT token. With its innovative technical aspect, this solution is intended to be a new international standard for data certification. The ICO BCDiploma will provide the means to impose this standard on a large scale, creating one of the first consumer services based on Ethereum. This makes sense for the whole Ethereum community.
On what principles did the BCDiploma team design its ICO?

> Long-term vision: BCDiploma announces caps in accordance with a business plan that it has taken the time to optimize and in which its token model has been integrated. This enables it to finance a large-scale incentive program with prestigious establishments in order to “create the brand” in its first year of activity. The fact that BCDiploma is an open source solution, which any institution or country can install on its own initiative, is also a strong point for the Ethereum community.
What about the BCDT token model?
The BCDT token (ERC20) is essential to “pay” for the certification of diplomas. As such, it is a “utility” token. BCDiploma has set up an ecosystem to support the token’s value in proportion to the certification activity of diplomas, by a “burnt rate” principle. At each transaction, a percentage of the tokens used are “burned”. BCDiploma is therefore putting into practice a means of protecting the investor by mechanically and progressively reducing the mass of circulating tokens.

Bio
An attorney in Paris and Brussels since 1993, Thibault Verbiest founded Ulys, a law firm dedicated to new technologies. He was notably able to develop a renowned expertise in legislation pertaining to payments and e-money, gaming and other regulated online activities.
Between 2000 and 2004, he was the chairman of l’Observatoire des droits de I’intemet, an organisation tasked with advising the Belgian federal government on its policymaking approach towards the internet. In 2013, he founded two fintechs, including Payservices. Until 2015, he was also partner of investment bank Largillière Finance, which specializes in Fintech M&A.
ln 2015, he joined the law firm de Gaulle Fleurance as a partner to create the fintech, blockchain and cryptocurrency practice, which has, since then earned a solid reputation before moving to DS avocats in September 2017 to create the first Pole entirely dedicated to Fintech, Digital Banking and Crypto-finance.
He is also the co-author of several books, including the first book on blockchain in French and the seminal piece ‘Fintech et Droit”. He regularly contributes to the public debate on blockchain authoring articles and as speaker at fintech-focused events.
