Ingénieurs et Scientifiques de France (IESF) has announced the creation of 25,000 “labellis” certificates on the blockchain through a partnership with the startup BCdiploma.

IESF, an organization representing the engineering and scientific profession in France, said that these “new generation certificates”, based on the blockchain and 100% tamper-proof, could be easily inserted added to a LinkedIn profile or a printed resume, as a QR code.

Through this innovation, IESF allows each graduate to provide proof, in only one click, that his/her degree is registered with the IESF Register of the French Society of Engineers and Scientists, which counts more than one million engineers.

“Recruitment procedure, international mobility, invitation to tender, etc… With Labellis, these procedures are now instantaneous, and the certificate can be included in any online or paper administrative file,” the organization stated in a press release shared with Cryptonaute.

Developed by BCDiploma, the certification solution is based on the Ethereum blockchain. The Paris-based start-up, which has raised 1.2 million euros and recently joined the blockchain incubator at Berkeley UC, is far from being at its trial stage. Its solutions have already attracted more than 50 universities in France and abroad.
