1/ Which need does Managexam meet?

Managexam allows you to assess off-campus students online. Thanks to its platform and innovative technology, Managexam achieves a high standard of pedagogical integrity, which is essential for the evaluation and examination of accredited training courses.

Schools and training organisations use Managexam in certified courses, both in initial training and in continuing education such as SPOCs (Small Private Online Course). We can mention our recent collaboration with EM Lyon Business School and Learngest in the context of online certificates. Managexam also works with ESC La Rochelle, Montpellier Business School or the Studi Group and is positioning itself as the future major European player in secure online evaluation.

Today, the role of Managexam is to provide a secure online assessment environment, allowing the institutions to manage the grades and certificates achieved in their preferred format.

However, we note an increasing demand from students towards a secure and durable digital format for their results.

2/ What are the challenges of certification following an online exam?

The increasing growth of these courses attended from remote locations naturally leads us to seek partners to further improve the operational management of these new formats. This also leads us to adapt to new profiles of learners wishing to value these qualifications in their professional careers.

Being able to provide our partners — and thus their students — with a digital alternative, enabling them to prove their success to the certifications organised by Managexam, is therefore an increasingly important part of our agenda.

Until now, the alternatives explored lacked relevance to maintain both a realistic budget approach and compatibility with our security standards.

BCDiploma is positioned as a prime partner for Managexam, thanks to the low cost of its EvidenZ-based equipment, to a thoughtful design compliant with the GDPR and thanks to the ease of implementation with its turnkey solution.

3/ How do MOOC stakeholders welcome the idea of blockchain, and the BCDiploma concept in particular?

The emergence of platforms such as Coursera, edX or FUN in France has introduced a new approach to higher education, with a diverse offer.

From certification to micro-diploma, it is a whole ecosystem that continues to develop and structure itself, despite its detractors. As Philippe Silberzahn pointed out, «More than 35 million people attended a MOOC in 2016 and more than 6,500 different courses were offered on different platforms, by about 700 universities […]. In France, OpenClassroom claims to have 3 million students per month, from more than 120 countries, offers 300 certification courses, and nearly 30 degree programs.”

And among these figures, some training courses do address the blockchain but none of them apply it when it comes to certification.

If the MIT has positioned itself as a pioneer in this field, thus raising awareness of this technology, a solution such as BCDiploma, which is secure, easily deployable and economical, will democratise it.

With its simplicity of use for graduates and recruiters, BCDiploma will help develop a better knowledge of the blockchain technology. This allows graduates to better value their diplomas and skills.

This democratisation work can only be made possible through intelligent collaboration between all the players in the sector — educational partners, technological platforms and solutions.
