bd300 is delighted to announce the launch of our blockchain powered mobile card game on April 10th, 2019, marking the 300th anniversary of Liechtenstein’s establishment as a principality. To celebrate this historic event two natives and blockchain enthusiasts decided to create a way for anyone to learn about their country’s fascinating history, all while making use of a pioneering technology that Liechtenstein has led the world implementing — blockchain.

Featuring a beautiful hand-drawn art style, this whimsical collecting and trading game is the perfect way for anyone with a mobile phone to learn something about one of the smallest nations in Europe, and one of the few remaining monarchies in the world, all while getting a chance to actually use blockchain, that technology you have heard so much about but probably haven’t actually gotten your hands on.

The company behind the bd300 game is TRIOB, which stands for The Rare Items On Blockchain. TRIOB’s founders are Klaus Stark and Bernhard Elkuch, both Liechtenstein natives and local entrepreneurs. Klaus is a passionate collector of all sorts of collectables and memorabilia, while Bernhard is a blockchain enthusiast who has been working professionally as an ICO marketer and advisor since 2015. Together, they decided to merge their two passions and create a collectable game that is based on blockchain technology, while celebrating their country. The bd300 platform is powered by Coreledger, a blockchain infrastructure company based in neighboring Switzerland’s Crypto Valley of Zug. Coreledger has created a platform to ‘tokenize’ and then trade pretty much anything on their blockchain platform, in this case the beautifully drawn tradeable cards which users collect and then exchange with each other to build a complete digital album.

Lovingly illustrated and painstakingly curated by locals, bd300 features collectable cards profiling important people, historical buildings, and unique institutions from the past 300 years that have all contributed to making Liechtenstein the nation it is today. The iOS and Android app will be available in both German and English, so anyone can play!
