Here’s the thing. Children’s books are not for children.
At least, not entirely.
Because, especially when it comes to picture books, kids can’t read them for themselves. Which means that some lucky (or hapless?) adult must read the book TO the kid if said adult wants aforementioned kid to get healthy literary input.
