1 — The “2023 AI Readiness Report”
Don’t be an AI tourist! I like the title. I like the insights in the report even more!!! Below my quick summary. “2023 AI Readiness Report” shares results from interviews of almost 3,000 ML practitioners in North America between Dec 22 and end of Jan 23. The key themes I picked up include:
- State of GenAI: 21% in production. 29% experimenting, 31% are planning. Only 19% have no plans.
- Purpose: 61% of the time for better customer experience and more than 50% of the time for efficiency and profitability. Interesting insight is despite that prioritization, more find the ability to develop new products and services…
- It’s all about language: when asked what type of ML Systems practitioners worked on, they favored this year NLP and speech recognition > computer vision which % regressed this year.
- All industries invest but differently. Insurance, logistics and financial services are the top 3 but they also invest with different goals in mind: FSI is focused on customer experience, logistics on operational efficiency.
