THE HOLY SPIRIT LIFE -

A great question for Christians to ask themselves is what part the Cross of Christ pays in their lives. Was the Cross the end and final work for their life or was it the beginning of their life’s work? Christianity will rightly say that Jesus was victorious and accomplished everything on the cross and the work of salvation is “finished.” There’s even a popular worship song that says, “the cross has the final say”. What’s often NOT said is that, while the cross of Christ “finished” the work of atonement, propitiation, redemption and justification, all this work was just a doorway for us to be acceptable to God. It is the way to enter His Presence into a new relationship, receive all His promises and become His anointed corporate body.

The Cross opened the way for the continuing and ongoing work of Christ which was the outpouring of His Holy Spirit on all flesh to enable the building of His Church. There are works to be done by the redeemed Body of Christ to finish the work of the Kingdom. Christ’s sacrifice was only the beginning doorway to what God intended to do for mankind.
