5 concepts I translated to visual imagery
These helps me find order in chaos
For most people, daily life is a constant tennis match about figuring what how why where who and countless other things that shift focus off balance.
Maybe it isn’t even about balance, maybe it is just about remembering the concepts that resonate with who you are and help stay grounded in an otherwise chaotic life.
Hope you like them.
- Kintsugi
Kintsugi is the Japanese art of repairing broken pottery by filling its cracks with gold, transforming what was once fractured into something even more beautiful.
It’s the same with matters of the heart, every crack from loss, hurt, or disappointment becomes a place where gold can flow in.
Instead of hiding the scars, wear them as proof that the heart has endured, healed, and grown stronger.
The breaks don’t diminish its worth; they become the very lines that make it unique, radiant, and more precious than before.
2. As within so without
Our inner world and the outer world are inseparable mirrors.
What we cultivate inside, clarity or chaos, love or fear, inevitably shapes how we experience life around us.
A mind at ease tends to find harmony, while a restless one sees only turbulence.
To change what surrounds us, we must first look inward, to nourish what is within for the without to reflect that.
The two move together, like reflections on still water.
3. Stare into the Abyss long enough and it stares back
When we stare into the abyss, we confront the unknown, the darkness that lies beyond certainty, beyond comfort, beyond control.
But the abyss does not remain still, it stares back.
What we find in that gaze is not the void itself, but a reflection of what we carry inside.
Our fears, our unresolved questions, even our hidden strength, all surface in that silent exchange.
The abyss becomes less a place outside us and more a mirror that reveals what we have long avoided.
To meet its stare without turning away is to begin knowing ourselves.
4. Set your heart ablaze
To set your heart ablaze is to live with a fire that refuses to be dimmed by doubt or despair.
It is not a reckless burning, but a steady flame one that gives warmth to others and light to your own path.
A heart ablaze is alive with conviction, with love that moves beyond hesitation, with purpose that endures even when shadows fall.
To carry such a fire is to remind the world that even in its darkest corners, one illuminated heart can ignite countless others.
5. Chaos Therapy
The mind can feel like a storm thoughts colliding, doubts echoing, everything tangled in noise.
But chaos is never final.
There is always a way to un-jumble the mind, not by silencing it completely, but by finding the one act that brings you peace.
For some, it is walking, for others, writing, music, prayer, or even stillness. For me it is long distance bike rides.
These small rituals are not escapes they are anchors.
They remind us that clarity does not come by force, but by giving the storm somewhere gentle to settle.
These five ideas are not rules, but reminders small compasses I carry through the day.
Some days they shine clearly, other days I forget and circle back to them again.
What matters is not perfect consistency, but the practice of returning.
Each concept is a way of reorienting the mind, of choosing meaning over noise, of remembering that even in uncertainty there is guidance.
They are less about holding the world together, and more about holding myself steady within it.
Note: I have done these by including already existing stuff on the internet, if there is something in these you own, please reach out and ill add credits.
