My experimentation with avocados has never reached the next level. Throwing myself a quick toast every morning before I dash out the door has been one of my basic morning chores. Then, there came a day when a sudden grocery shortage let me go creative with this subtropical fruit (I’ve never been so grateful for a grocery shortage before!). Since that very day, avocado has been gracing my kitchen in many ways.

The options to prepare a fulfilling meal with avocado are truly endless. Whether I slice it, cube it, or mash it, it magically satisfies my taste buds. I would never want to miss that magic. With that being said, I have included some quick and healthy avocado recipes as part of my daily diet. So, here I am sharing these ideas that will inspire many of you who are looking for some inspiration to upgrade your meal options.

Avocado-Grilled Chicken Cobb Salad

The moment you hear the word ‘salad’, you cringe at the sight of a bunch of bland lettuce that you don’t want to crunch. Well, you don’t need to munch on your regular salad because I have a new version to try out. This vibrant avocado chicken cobb salad has all the crunchiness of cucumber, the tanginess of cherry tomatoes, the freshness of ripe avocado, and a fair amount of juicy chicken. It might sound like a regular salad but trust me adding some sliced avocado along with chopped hard-boiled eggs makes a huge difference. Have this bowl of bliss with your favorite dressing.

Wraps are incredibly easy to make and what else do you need when you have all the items ready by hand? I did not know avocados could be a great addition to wraps until I tried this avocado paneer (a type of cottage cheese) wrap. If you are unfamiliar with paneer, - it’s similar to tofu but a little softer. This recipe takes 15 minutes to put together. Fry your preferred veggies along with the paneer, (for a healthier option, you can add unfried paneer), grilled chicken (the chicken needs to be prepared beforehand to save time), chop some avocados, and throw them into a giant tortilla to wrap altogether and gobble.

If you are a vegetarian, or scouring the internet to find some plant-based protein meal ideas that are equally tasty and healthy, I bet this one is for you. Chickpeas and avocado are two perfect ingredients to perk up your dose of protein intake as avocado also contains a good amount of vitamins, fiber, folate and good fat. To spice it up, toss a fair amount of both of them into quinoa and season it with salt, pepper, and a few drops of lemon juice. Sprinkle a handful of pomegranates, chopped strawberry, or watermelon to make it summery.

When Taco Tuesday gets monotonous with traditional tacos, the best way to stick to having tacos is to go creative with them- enter, avocado shrimp taco. If you are a taco lover like me, you would want to try this recipe that will be included in your ultimate to-go. The center of attraction of this recipe is smashed avocados seasoned with some regular spices and a dollop of lemon juice. A handful of pan-fried shrimp flavors up the dish as it becomes a tasty meat replacement. To spike up the tanginess, throw some pickled onion along with your preferred sauce.

For most of us, Avocado toast is a staple breakfast. So, why not give it a little makeover? How about this one? It has everything you need to power you through the day. This recipe includes avocado and hard-boiled egg mashed together to make it extra creamy and fluffy, with a poached egg on top to load some extra protein. It tastes a lot better when spreading the mixture over melted butter-coated bread. What else do you need to kickstart your morning?

Ever since I came across this subtropical fruit, I have tried a few ways to get its flavor. The best way I found out to relish an avocado is to eat it by itself. Nothing can beat that taste. A half avocado sprinkled with salt, pepper, and lime juice is my perfect to-go snack. If you want to take it as an appetizer, it will work well too to warm up your stomach. Garnish with your favorite fruit and scoop out!

When the sun is on the horizon, the easiest way to stay hydrated, besides having water, is to feed yourself enough tropical fruit. Making a fruit salad is like having a bit of summer in a bowl and hey, you don’t even need to turn on the stove. Avocado is an excellent addition to bring more color and flavor to a fruit salad bowl. Drizzle a spoonful of honey and savor every morsel.

Another way of having it is mashing the avocado with yogurt and over that mixture, spreading any summer fruit of your choice. You can sprinkle some chocolate chip too (sometimes, you need some of your doze of comfort). Pick your way to indulge in the bowl of happiness.

Avocado- Almond Flour Crepe Wrap

The healthy way to delight in a soft crepe is to switch to Almond flour that is a gluten-free alternative to wheat flour. The recipe includes a cup of Almond flour and sliced avocados. It provides you with all the nutritional quantities. If Almond flour seems a little bland to you, spice it up with cinnamon, nutmeg, and vanilla, and pour a fair quantity of smashed fluffy avocado as a stuffing. Top it with chopped Almonds and that’s it. I bet you won’t be satisfied with just one wrap.

Starting your day with a glass of smoothie is the smart way to boost your energy. This avocado spinach smoothie contains vitamins, iron, minerals, healthy fat, and pretty much everything you would need to fuel up your body. This smoothie can be made in many ways- throw the fruits into a blender you like along with a spoonful of honey. For me, bananas and avocados perk up the flavor as they are super creamy when mixed together. Bring your creativity into it and have it at any time.

After having guacamole in so many restaurants, I was inspired to make my version at home. I have never had something so easy to make and so delicious to taste. My version includes chopped onion, tomatoes, cilantro, and lime juice mixed well with smashed avocado. That’s just it. They are just too good and complement well the main course. Do give it a try!
