What Length of Post Work Best

Over the years,

different iterations of the Partner program, coupled with the ever-changing demands of the algorithm, have resulted in a lot of Blog posts, all with different idea’s on the ideal length of a Medium blog.

Some said

4–7 minute reads were the sweet spot, other’s reckoned 10-13

Truth is, the majority of opinions have been right at some point over the last decade.

How about now though?

You’ll still see lots of differing opinions on the subject. I happen to know however, that at the last change of rules, summer 2023, short form posts were being encouraged. Short as in 1–2 minute reads which equal around 4–800 words.

Let’s put it like this

Five minutes and anything under… the algorithm will thank you.
