Perpetual Fountain of Happiness
Powered by the present
If we were to ask,
out of the blue,
“What defines us?”
Is it the work we do?
Is it our achievements?
Or the people around?
Is it our surroundings?
Or goals to which we are bound?
I believe it’s a combination,
of everything related to us;
the things that come together,
to form our memories thus.
These memories of ours,
is what makes death daunting;
to forget our incredible presence,
is extremely overwhelming.
At points in life, we may feel,
that everything is pointless,
since we are going to lose everything,
once we become lifeless.
But the thought of death is not that scary,
if we only think about the present;
if we are happy with what is at hand,
instead of contemplating the non-existent.
The purpose of life is to live on,
and add one more memory;
it is to live life to its fullest,
filled with happiness and glee.
Happiness should be bestrewn,
on the surface of Earth;
we live to be happy,
which makes worth our birth.
