So he thinks he owns my house!
One fine day, my mom’s friend 👩came to our house🏠to be a part of an incident unknowingly. We live two blocks away, so it gets a little easier to visit. I don’t remember the exact day, but it was in August. Maybe it was a weekend because I wasn’t doing my job (remote).
Before I dive into the story, let me tell you about my mom’s longtime friend.
They’ve been friends for over 25 years, ever since our kindergarten days. When I say “our,” I mean me, my siblings, and her daughter and her siblings. Slowly, they discovered most things in common, like belonging to the same district and speaking the same language. (Told by my mom).
I think that their friendship emerged well with time, like a loose brick baked in a brick kiln. But this brick never needed unnecessary effort. I never saw them contradicting anything. So smooth! Maybe sometimes you are a better friend when your actions are quick and soothing than words. No drama! They share a friendship of common instincts and accompany each other for shopping, asking for advice, and many small needs.
Big helps are situational but small efforts, advice, and comfort are often needed.
