They talk nonsense without knowing what they are saying. Many fill their mouths with incomprehensible terms, make absurd reasoning, and then reinforce their belief with “I read it on FB… my friend told me… it seems that…”

Many lack common sense and moderation, and they don’t even have the ability to compromise or listen to others’ positions before responding with their own reasons.

Some shake their heads, convinced that they hold the truth, in complete contrast to the interlocutor; they protect biodiversity and support cancel culture.

Few delve into issues with a desire to understand, without bias, in search of the truth.

A polarized society, constantly at odds, where one must already have the solution in order to express doubt, is a sick society destined to fail.

Social media, where truths can be passed off as nonsense, is the fertile ground in which this false ideology of everyone being equal, homogenized in the mediocrity of common thought, grows. Barroom gossip becomes scientific convictions, truths to be supported.

We all have rights and responsibilities: the duty to delve deeper, to question our own convictions, and to respect the interlocutor; only then can we assert our rights.

The denial of others’ thoughts is authoritarianism and leads to conflict, but those who speak in vain are unaware of it; fossilized in their convictions, they persist in the direction of continuing to eliminate what is not congenial to them.
