In our country, one of the most special festivals is Diwali. Aptly known as the festival of lights, colours, and truth, Diwali holds deeper meanings that extend beyond the surface-level festivities.

Delving into Diwali Decor: The Art of Rangoli Making

As Diwali approaches, the air is filled with anticipation and excitement.

A significant part of the celebration involves deep cleaning and adorning our homes with various decorations.

Among these embellishments, Rangoli takes center stage — a unique art form that involves creating intricate designs on the floor using coloured sand.

Facing the Creative Dilemma

This year, the creative bug bit again, and the desire to craft new and innovative Rangoli designs sparked.

However, amidst various commitments and work, the initial enthusiasm waned.

The mind resisted the idea of embarking on this creative venture. Yet, the desire persisted, and the challenge was to convince the mind to initiate the process.

Overcoming the Creative Hurdle

This year, I was excited to make a special Rangoli, but I had a little issue. I couldn’t convince my mind to start the creative process. Even though I really wanted to make something new, my mind was saying, “Not this year.” So, let me share how I finally managed to make it happen.

Convince the Mind, Get Started”

The first and most important step was convincing my mind. I kept telling myself that I had to do it; otherwise, I wouldn’t have something unique to be proud of next year. It’s like telling your mind over and over until it listens and agrees.

The first battle is won in the mind — convince it, and you’re halfway there.

Breaking It Down: The Mind’s Blueprint

The second strategy involved breaking down the task into smaller, more manageable parts. Drawing the design on paper, replicating it on the floor, and finally, filling it with vibrant colours became distinct steps in the process.

The Result: A Splash of Colors

Now, as I look at the colorful Rangoli on the floor, I feel happy that I convinced my mind to start. It’s a small but meaningful part of celebrating Diwali.

In Conclusion: thought changed, work done

Creativity begins with convincing our minds. Whether it’s making Rangoli or doing anything creative, taking that first step is the most important, convincing the mind is the key to unlocking the door of inspiration.

Convince your mind today, and thank yourself tomorrow

So, as we enjoy Diwali, let’s remember that every beautiful creation starts with a single convinced thought.

Happy holidays.
