Unexpected Housemates

Two houses where I lived with ghosts

A lot of people don’t believe in the supernatural. They will pointedly tell you there are no such thing as ghosts; everything can be explained away and there’s only what we see.

But they can say what they want; I know better.

I’ve been experiencing things involving the other side since I was a small child. I know what I know and what I’ve experienced, so you can’t tell me otherwise. No, I don’t look for these things, and I’m definitely not a ghost hunter. Yet I’ve been exposed to these things more times than I care to.

There’s been 4 times in my adult life where I have had unexpected housemates in my home. Usually, these places were moved into almost immediately, one even sight unseen, due to an urgency in our living situation. When I have time to shop around, I feel places out (I’m a bit of an empath that way) and avoid the haunted ones. Here’s a couple of times I’ve lived with ghosts in my dwelling.

My ex and I had rented a garage-turned-into-a-house after my youngest daughter was about 10 months old. We had been living with my parents during my pregnancy and second daughter’s birth due to lack of finances. That wasn’t easy, and we were desperate to get our own place again.
