We’re Sacrificing Real Relationships for Transactional Connections
We need to cultivate meaningful relationships and prioritize empathy and kindness in a world that’s forgotten the value of human connection.
I believe that in reality, it is a psychologically crumbling society.
And I know this too well.
Just imagine me sitting in that small café — pretty busy, if you know what I mean.
The smell of freshly brewed coffee mixes with the murmurs of people, and I’d be sitting there, lost in my own thoughts, fully absorbed in other people. Smiling brighter than sunlight crossed tables, and laughter went bursting out in big booms as a cacophony of joy.
But there was an undertone to it that unsettled me, one wherein I literally felt true connection was a memory of the past.
I feel it; that notion well-embedded in my mind that time and attention were currency, elusive at best, withheld like a valuable resource.
I vividly remember that period of my life when social gatherings were vibrant.
Discourses flowed easily.
