Giving Special Treatment to Love
I want you to feel special — because you are.
Effusive. Uncommon. Extravagant. That’s the type of giving I aim for.
I would prefer that as I shower you with love; there is no doubt about my love and appreciation of you.
I will gladly be extra enthusiastic in my praise and compliments and extra thoughtful in my gifts and favors.
Nothing would please me more than to shower you with things and feelings that allow you to recognize how I see you: Special.
As I get to know people, I also get to know what they like, what they value, and what makes them feel special. You probably do this, too.
So what do we do? We look for ways to make them feel good, noticed, and special—because they are special, right?
I had a friend who was a big fan of the Peanuts characters, especially Snoopy. Anytime I found a cool thing with Snoopy on it, I made sure to grab it for him. I once found some Hershey Kisses that were wrapped in Peanuts comics.
When shopping, unicorns capture my attention and I think about a friend who is fond of unicorns. I like to my my friend feel like a Unicorn, too! A one-of-a-kind friend!
