What Colour Tells Your Life Right Now?
The seventh question on this fifteen-day challenge.
Question seven: What colour is your life right now, and why?
This question made me go on a deep research on colour symbolism.
I checked out the link on
page, I wasn’t satisfied so I delved deeper into more research and I found out something interesting…I realized I couldn’t give myself a particular colour, a particular colour can’t certainly tell my life right now.
I found two colours that did justice to me.
The first one was a neutral colour, “Ivory”. Ivory takes most of its meaning from white, it is pure and it is quiet, it is elegant and sophisticated. Some say it has a sense of history.
The second one was a cool colour, “Purple”. Purple represents mystery, nobility, creativity, and wisdom.
The impressions of neutral colours are largely affected by the colours around them.
Purple is the crazy in Ivory’s composed and Ivory is the calm in Purple’s storm.
Purple brings in its creativity, and Ivory adds a touch of softness, creating depth and connectivity.
I loved the balance they created within me.
For me, it was like having the two sides of my coin, though purple is facing upwards for the world to see, leaving Ivory for only a select few I choose to show.
I loved the combination so much that I decided I needed a name for their mixture, and I turned to Google for an answer.
It couldn’t think of a name, because every shade of purple and ivory gives a different colour when mixed!!!
It made me realize how rich and beautiful the colour scheme of my life is right now.
I love the contrast it is creating, it is indeed stunning.
I loved the fact that whatever shade life brings to me, I get to create a different colour all the time!!!.
The unpredictability is exciting.
It just makes me excited for every new phase I get to go through in life, because I am expecting to learn something new.
So to answer this question, the colour(s) that tells my life right now are purple and ivory.
