Dare to Ride…
My riding days are upon me and I want to make a worthwhile investment on the kind of bike I want to get.
However, I’m a little bit nervous because:
- I haven’t ridden a motorbike a second in my life!
- I’m dead scared being on a bike, as a passenger!
- I don’t know how to ride a bike — bicycle! (I don’t know if this has anything to do with what I’m talking about, but I had to put it out there.)
Therefore, the most reasonable thing to do is to start classes. I came across these guys on facebook inkedbiker and they have good reviews.
I also found a few interviews from some of their candidates and alumni that were illuminating. They inspired me to check them out again and willed me back.
Sadly, it will cost me money, that I currently don’t have. For starters, the classes will cost me approximately $200. To make my classes worth it, I will have to get the bike, otherwise what’s the point! That will be around $2000. Get my drift yet?
How will I finance this?
I give myself an year to raise the funds. The first month will be to pay my riding lessons while the rest to cover the bike and the gear. Mathematically speaking I’ll raise $200 a month to finance come up with the amount.
Breaking it down further, I have to look into ways I’ll make that much in a month. I mostly do web development and I have take up more to cover this. The good thing about money is, if you know how to spend it, you have to make it. Otherwise you can’t spend what you don’t have.
Apparently, a bike is not thing I like to ride. I happen to admire horse riding though I don’t know when I’ll act on it.
NB:Will share my research on bikes and my lessons once I start.
