Gaby wondered whether Michael might be a narcissist. He was most happy when he was in control — which he normally was — but if he wasn’t, he was a different person. Over the years she had grown used to it but him turning up at Alex’s like that was out of line. She knew he had done it for effect, to get her riled up and it had worked but she was furious with him.
