James Altucher interviewed T. Harv Eker in his 100th episode and it blew my mind.

It might be that I am too much into personal development right now but his key lessons resonated so much with me that I want to share them here.

The second secret he shares is …

We suck at short-term thinking.

It’s not true that just being in the right thing at the right moment to be successful.

He shared a belief he had for a long time that ‘we just need to be in the right thing at the right moment to be successful.’

It sounds so simple.

You just need to get in it — the right market, the right trend, the right vehicle. That’s why short-term thinking sucks.

But he realized that even if you have the right car (read: being in the right market, leveraging the right trend), YOU need to be the right driver. That’s the other important half to success: the right car and YOU — the right driver.

He always believed that having the right car is enough and you will be successful. But he learned the hard way that being the right driver is equally — if not more — important.

He advises us to work on ourselves and grow — every day.
