Ho ho ho, dear readers, ho ho ho!

It’s that time of the year, again!

Who says Santa isn’t connected, too?

It’s been approximately 4 months since I’ve arrived here at Beakyn and about a month since we started this blog. And I can tell you, without any reservations, that I’ve been having what’s probably the best experience in my career. And you’re probably thinking I’m just trying to sell you this, but I’m really not. I’m not sure saying this really helps my case here, but it is the truth.

Why is that, though? Why is it that I can say I’m having such a blast working with these people? Well, it’s really not as complicated as it might seem.

The fact is, I feel like everyone has a voice here, and although sure, we’re a small company with a small team, I believe that if a culture of communication and respect is built from the start, and the leadership leads ethically and by example, once we start growing there’s a good chance that such culture is going to be preserved. And this is why I’m so happy to be a part of this process.

Here are some words from Mr. Stephen Fishburn, our Chief:

The Beakyn team is an incredible group of software engineers and they’re good people. We’ve created a culture that fosters innovation, creativity, ownership, and fun. On a daily basis, they tackle very difficult software problems in a variety of areas, from UX to microservices to big data and do it well and with grace. Our team has accomplished a lot in 2017 and 2018 we’ll do even more. Stay Tuned.

As you can take from this little message from Stephen, we work with cutting edge technology, some of the most dedicated devs I’ve ever seen and an overall spirit of cooperation.

I know, I know I’m gushing a little bit too much. So I’m going to stop. But, before I go, there are a few things I’d like to share with our fellow readers.

First, It’s Holiday Season and we’re going to take a break between Christmas and New Years. Our dev team has been working relentlessly and they need some time to breath, that being the case, it’s only fair they can chill for a while and have some time off to commemorate the Holidays with their friends and family.

Second, our Mad Science Weekend is happening, again, before the holidays, which means for you, our lovely public, you should be getting some fresh new insight into what our devs’ crazy minds have been cooking recently!

Right, Rick?… Are you okay, man?

Also, we’d like to let all of you know that we had a great 2017. It was not without its problems for sure, nothing ever is, but we’re very happy with the results our work has been yielding! And that we’re excited and motivated to make 2018 an even better year here at the company!

And, finally, we here at Beakyn want to wish all of you out there a marvelous Holiday Season!

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year, everyone!! See you all next in 2018!!

❤ New Year’s Fireworks ❤
