There is nothing to read. It’s all been read before. Nothing new.
The content is missing. It’s all old news. The white is still there.
Black ink is all gone. What was front page went to back, then black.
Fade to black, no turning back, had to be sacked, stacked in the backroom.
Awaiting the shredder, to complete the compost, what was once the post,
Now toast, at most, same old, same old, S.O.S. with a side of nothing pie.
We can talk about the past, sing something new, have a blast, get hammered,
Play the Blues, wear hats, and ties, and colorful boots, but in out hearts, sad,
Not bored, there are games to play, places to stay, words to say, rest of the day,
The hole is inside, big enough to fill many, many universes, question remains,
The damned question remains unanswered.
