Anniversary
Anniversaries are points in time, millstones we set, to decide to remember an event.
An anniversary is a celebration of the fact that on a particular day last year or many years before, something happened that is wort remembering.
During an anniversary, you pause and marvel as to how much has happened since the event took place.
After creating the earth and all its inhabitant in 6 days. God took an extra day just to pause, marvel and celebrate at what He had done.
God orders us to keep celebrating on this day. Us our families, our children and grandchildren are invited every seventh day of the week to celebrate what happened on that first week of earth’s history.
The Lord said to Moses: Tell the Israelites: “Be sure to keep my sabbaths, because the Sabbath is a sign between me and you in every generation so you will know that I am the Lord who makes you holy.

Earth’s birthday or sabbath day reminds us of 2 things:
- There is an utmost powerful being, God, who created everything and it therefore solves the question of : “Where did I come from” and if we build a relationship with God, He answers the question of “Why did I come from”.
- This God makes us special, set apart or in religious language: “holy”
