The world and sometimes Christians themselves, tell us about a God that is not on our side. A God that is distant. A God that can not love, cannot care and cannot empathize. But I discovered a God that does everything because He loves.

The rich people of this world have their “loved” one sign a prenup to protect their assets. The Christ I have come to know and believe in, left behind wealth, power and position, to come close, love us, propose to marry us and move us into a house he has been building for us.

The Bible in Matthew chapter 13 verses 44 to 46 talks about a treasure in a field or a pearl of inestimable value that needs to be bought at all cost with all we have. But I believe like many scholars and commentators that from God’s perspective we are the pearl of great price that He is willing to pay for.

He has paid for us to know Him but in order for us to follow Him on that new journey of life we have to let go of the lies that the world around is throwing at us. Lies that says you are not good enough.

You are enough.
You are the pearl.
Live and commit to your identity as the pearl so precious your God decided to shed His blood and life for.
Learn to recognize and reject any voice that say otherwise.
Doubt your doubts. Live in your identity and purpose.
Goodbye lies, hello life.
