Hello Dad
Today, I met a person who shared about the fact that grief intensified her prayer life so much that now, she sometimes ends her prayers by saying:
“See you later Jesus.”
Another person said that they know people who have such a personal relationship with God that they start their prayers with:
“Hello Dad”, or “Good morning Dad” or “Good afternoon Dad” depending on the time of the day.
What a beautiful idea to think about the fact that when you decide to believe in the God described in the Bible, you actually believe that the inventor and creator of that concept called “Life” wants you to call Him “Dad”.
God, who made the world and everything in it, is Lord of heaven and earth. He doesn’t live in temples made with human hands.
Nor is God served by human hands, as though he needed something, since he is the one who gives life, breath, and everything else.
From one person God created every human nation to live on the whole earth, having determined their appointed times and the boundaries of their lands.
God made the nations [or people] so they would seek him, perhaps even reach out to him and find him. In fact, God isn’t far away from any of us.
In God we live, move, and exist. As some of your own poets said, ‘We are his offspring.’Acts 17:24–28 Common English Bible (CEB)
