Yes, that is now possible according to Google I/O 2018, which was on May 8 to 10 in Shoreline Amphitheatre, Mountain View, California, United States. Google I/O is one of the biggest developer festivals.
Google always announces their newest updates and inventions in the festivals. This year’s one wasn’t any less. In fact this year Google surprises the audience with the super advancements of their Artificial Intelligence (AI), which has now become the talk of the town.

Android P
The new version of Android OS where some new features will be added like Adaptive battery, Adaptive brightness, App actions, ML kit, Digital well being Dashboard and lots more
From this Dashboard is the most interesting. Digital wellbeing dashboard will help you through understanding your habits, focusing on the thing that matters, switching off and finding the balance for your family. These will lead to the tech that will allow you to find where you’re spending how much time, save yourself from the distraction of notifications and have a proper resting time by winding down.
Google Duplex
Think about your Google Assistant making appointments and calls for you. Yes, that was the jaw-dropping moment of the festival when Sundar Pichai played a recording of Google Assistant making an appointment by calling a hair salon. People witnessed unreal becoming real. This is the new google assistant powered by the highly efficient AI.
Also Google Assistant got new six different voices.
Smart Compose
Now the AI will predict what you will write next in your mail. You can now write a whole mail almost by just tapping on the suggested phrases by AI.
Google’s mostly used core product just got redesigned by advanced machine learning.
For You Tab
In Google Map, there’ll be a “For You” tab where you’ll find trendy restaurants and businesses which you can also share on any platform you want. This tab will also save the places you went.
AR in Google Maps
Google map will be able to show you augmented reality directions and also can give you an AR guide. It will guide you turn by turn and give you a real-time guided tour in an unknown place. It will require your phone camera though.
Google Lens
Google lens will allow you to copy and paste texts from a picture, it’s called Smart text Selection. You can also get pieces of information from newly captured real-life images.
Suggested Actions of Google Photos
In google photos app, you can now get more than you want. It will fix the brightness, dropping the background color, recoloring an old photo to make it more real and sending pictures to the person in the pictures.
Google News
Sometimes the stories you really want are lost in the story-traffic. It’s tiring to find news by yourself. So now the AI will find and arrange the stories you want in a storyline by time and topics. Videos, News stories, analysis, opinion etc any kind of story you want will be presented to you in a much more organized view by the AI.
Smart Display
Google will launch a new device to beat Amazon Echo by offering things that Amazon can’t. This was called Smart Displays with Assistant built. This will broadcast you the shows you want to see on the display, all you’ll need is just ask.
