Beaxy Exchange Community Newsletter: 13th March 2020
Introduction
Hello, Beaxians and welcome to this edition of the Beaxy Exchange Community Newsletter!
It’s been an exciting few months at Beaxy. We’re in the process of rebuilding the exchange in line with our renewed vision and direction, and as such, the foundations for Beaxy 2.0 have been laid.
Expanding on the above, we’ve adopted a ‘clean slate’ approach by going back to the drawing board and this has removed barriers we previously faced, allowing for significantly increased flexibility in building the kind of exchange users want.
We’ll explore some of that in this edition of the newsletter and here’s what you can expect:
- A general recap
- Beaxy 2.0 beta
- Beaxy 2.0 soft-launch
- Product improvements
- The outlook for the future
Before moving onto current affairs, let’s take a brief recap as a segue into where we are now.

We also provided insight into recent exchange activity. Broadly speaking, actions are being taken to create a competitive market for traders.
In summary, Beaxy 2.0’s building phase is underway and we’ll keep you updated as we progress via our various social platforms.
Next, we’ll summarise the journey of how we got to where we are today. From announcing the Beaxy 2.0 beta to bug testing, the soft-launch and subsequent improvements that have been made to improve your trading experience with Beaxy.
Beaxy 2.0 Beta
Before the wider announcement of Beaxy 2.0’s beta version, the platform was tested by members of our official Telegram and Discord communities. On the 18th February 2020, Beaxy 2.0 was formally announced to the world and opened for public beta testing.
Users had access to the desktop and mobile versions of the platform and were provided with dummy funds to test all aspects of the exchange. Preliminary feedback was generally positive.
After a successful period of beta testing, preparations for migration to Beaxy 2.0 were made and this was formally announced by Co-President Bay Abbott on the 22nd February 2020.
You can take a read of the press release published on the 18th February 2020 announcing Beaxy 2.0 and changes to the business’ brand identity here: https://medium.com/beaxy-exchange/beaxy-announces-upcoming-exchange-2-0-new-brand-identity-9988ed0008a2
Beaxy 2.0 Soft Launch
Users were kept up-to-date on the data migration process via Co-President Bay Abbott’s official Twitter account. Migrated data included the following:
- Balances and wallet information
- KYC information
- Deposit and withdrawal history
- User credentials
Throughout the migration process, the Beaxy team tested reconciled data to ensure that the process was running smoothy. After successful tests, Beaxy 2.0 was soft-launched to the official Beaxy Exchange Telegram and Discord communities on the 28th February 2020.
The soft-launch helped the Beaxy team resolve any findings in a production environment, and improvements were made to Beaxy 2.0’s user-experience based on user feedback before the full rollout.
Product Improvements
As mentioned above, feedback provided during the soft-launch helped us iron out some of the minor issues that users reported on both the desktop and mobile versions of the platform, including:
- UI improvements to make your experience more seamless
- Order book display preferences
- Balance display preferences
- Enabled a ‘market page’ view without the need to be logged in
- Improvements to the accuracy of market data
- Lengthened the site timeout
- Creating wallets on mobile at the click of a button
- And more
After a successful soft-launch, we invited the wider community to try Beaxy 2.0.
It goes without saying, we’re extremely grateful to our enthusiastic community for spending time to provide feedback as it has helped us get to where we currently are. Thank you for your support!
That said, as we continue to evolve towards a market leading platform with innovative features and functionality, your feedback helps us improve. Please keep reporting your findings; we are listening!

The Outlook
All things considered, the future looks bright for Beaxy. From announcing changes to our leadership structure and business direction to where we are now, good progress has been made on getting the platform to where we want it to be — an innovative exchange giving our users peace of mind and traders a competitive environment to trade.
We’re not done yet, there are many improvements yet to come.
What improvements can I expect?
Aside from minor fixes, we’re continuing to make improvements to the UX/UI based on the feedback we’ve received, and are planning on implementing light mode for desktop.
Additionally, we listened to you, our users, and Beaxy 2.0 will integrate TradingView after hearing your feedback.
That’s not all. Progress has been made on providing custody solutions for your peace of mind, fiat integration, purchasing your favourite cryptocurrencies with a credit card, and more. This, in tandem with new listings and general improvements to the exchange platform UX.
Stay tuned for the announcements to follow!
On a final note, the Coronavirus has had an effect on not only the cryptocurrency markets but the world at large. From the Beaxy team, to you, we hope that you all stay safe and in good health and take all necessary precautions to keep yourselves and your loved ones safe.
