Greetings, Beaxians!

That’s right, a community newsletter!

We heard your wishes for a newsletter and thought it a fitting time to get one started. What better time to publish a newsletter considering the events of the past week? The purpose of this and all future editions is to give you folks a general recap of what’s been happening with Beaxy Exchange. I do sincerely hope you all enjoy reading not only this edition but all newsletters to come!

First, a short introduction. My name is Naeem, aka nmesis, and I’m the Head of Community over at Beaxy.

Most in the official Beaxy Exchange Discord server may already be aware of who I am, given I spend a lot of my time chatting away with the folks in there on a day-to-day basis. But for those who may not be aware, allow me to give you a brief introduction of who I am and a summary of what I do with Beaxy.

I initially joined the Beaxy Discord server as a community member way back in November 2018, and have been an active member since then. I helped test the beta platform (such great fun!) and generally spent my time doing whatever I could to make the server a pleasant environment to be in, as this positive aura and the community’s light-hearted nature is what initially drew me to it.

Admittedly, we have an amazing community; fun-loving, vibrant, some very interesting characters and extremely talented ones alike. I felt that energy from day one of joining the server hence why I remained so active in there.

Thus, with pleasure I accepted the role to join Beaxy’s Moderator team when offered by Bay Abbott in June 2019. From there, I progressed to Moderator Lead, and now proudly serve as Beaxy’s Head of Community.

My role and mission? To be the pulse of our community. To understand it, its needs, quirks, concerns, and to leverage these things in order to help our community flourish. That’s my sole purpose. It’s an honour to do all I can for it!

Anyway, enough about me. We’re all here for Beaxy, so let’s talk about that!

A New Direction

We’re heading in a new direction, with a renewed purpose.

It’s pertinent to first and foremost congratulate Nicholas Murphy and Bay Abbott on their new roles with Beaxy, as co-Presidents of the company!

Per our press release on 20th November 2019, Nick and Bay will serve as co-Presidents of the company, and have the full confidence of our new partners to lead the business.

I feel it’s noteworthy to mention that not only do Nick and Bay have the confidence of our new partners but also the team. Both are well-seasoned professionals who have a high degree of familiarity with Beaxy given the nature of their previous roles with the business. This transition is a natural succession and we’re confident they will do everything within their capability to help Beaxy succeed.

“So, you guys have been busy…”

Pretty much!

We did mention that we were making changes to who we work with and how we do things as a business, and our recent press release provided some clarity on that statement.

A lot of work has taken place on the backend; an extensive restructure, securing new partners and laying the foundations to help take Beaxy to the next level — it’s been an extremely productive period for the business.

With that in mind, with Nick and Bay as co-Presidents, the team leads responsible for the day-to-day affairs of their respective departments remain in place. So, who are they?

The team leads, like Bay and Nick, are time-served and experienced professionals in their respective fields, sharing a unified sense of passion, drive and determination to help Beaxy succeed.

The future is bright for Beaxy!

What else have we been doing?

A fair bit!

We exhibited at the World Crypto Conference 2019 at the tail end of October, for which we were a featured sponsor. We had a great time networking and connecting with people that can provide significant value to Beaxy’s growth and development.

As well as attending World Crypto Conference, Franklin also gave a lecture to students at the University of Exeter about digital assets and had a great time meeting and connecting with the students there.

A special thank you to everyone that participated!

Bay and Nick were recently invited to talk about the intersection of cryptocurrencies, traditional financial channels and FX trading at the FX Dev Education Conference, in Kiev, Ukraine.

They successfully overcame any language barriers to connect with both their hosts and the audience and provided some informal insight to the conference.

Beaxy strongly feels that traditional credit and banking as well as FX markets will only get more integrated with the crypto ecosystem in the coming months and years, thus it was great to see our new co-Presidents be proactive about this strongly-held belief by presenting at the conference.

Final comments.

With the above in mind, it follows that we are building for the future, and as with all transition periods it’s imperative to make a special mention of our faithful community that has stood by us and continues to stand by us throughout.

With new leadership, new partners and an exciting new direction, Beaxy are here, and we’re here to stay. Once again, thank you all for your support, it means a lot to us!

Here’s to the future!
