Bebop Achievements: What Are They and What Are They For?
Many Beboppers know that they can celebrate their trading milestones with us with Bebop achievements. “Another useless NFT!”, despair some. “I just claimed my new shiny badge!”, share thousands. For many of you who wonder why we’ve introduced this concept as an integral part of Bebop experience, we’ve written this article.
What are Bebop Achievements
Bebop achievements are technically soulbound NFTs that eligible users can mint to keep forever. There’s no charge for doing so, we even cover the minting fees. The eligibility is checked and verified on-chain, so the achievements can truly be only claimed by those who have earned them.
What can I use the achievements for
Primarily, these soulbound NFTs are non-transferable and serve as unique collectibles that cannot be traded. While most achievements are for you to keep as cool collectibles, some, like the OG collection, grant special titles within our community, prominently displayed in their Bebop profile. Those titles in turn may make you eligible to early product sneak peaks, grant access gated Discord channels and more. In the future, exclusive campaigns and perks may be offered to achievement holders such as swag drops.
However, if you’re indifferent to achievements, rest assured that they are optional and serve as a playful addition to your Bebop trading activity.
Why we introduced Bebop Achievements
In essence, there are several reasons:
- We think it’s fun. Much like collecting achievements in apps or games, Bebop achievements add a layer of fun to our users’ trading experiences.
- We believe blockchain is the best place to keep your achievement badges. They are fully transparent and provable. They are with you forever! They can be applied to your activity retrospectively. They can work across different apps and shape your on-chain identity.
- We love celebrating milestones and like to see how our community celebrates theirs as they interact with our product.
- And of course, our designer enjoyed creating our new Bumper Sticker Collection of achievements. We love what we made. And hopefully so do you.
Which achievements can I get and how
You can get the following achievements as you trade:
Evergreen collection
Most of our achievements can be earned at any time. They are a progression. You unlock a new achievement that is linked to the kind of trade you complete or the volumes you generate as you interact with Bebop while trading.
As you trade, you become eligible for achievements following three tracks:
- Bebop Swapper — counts all the trades you complete on Bebop
- Bebop Multiswapper — counts multi-token trades on Bebop
- My Bebop Size is Size — accumulates the total volume traded on Bebop
Progress as you trade and collect achievements with every trading milestone.
Festive events collection
These are once-a-year achievements dedicated to specific holidays, fostering a spirit of celebration within our #bebopfam. Events like Halloween, Bitcoin Pizza Day, and DEXmas are marked with festive-themed on-chain campaigns. Once claimed, you remain eligible for a new edition every year.
OG collection
This achievement collection was a special once-off for our first users and is no longer open. OG collection was celebrating our early adopters for their support and trust in Bebop, and for bringing their DeFi & crypto experience to Bebop. Recognizing early adopters and highlighting Bebop’s pioneering multi-token swaps, this collection was claimed 5,000 times over three months.
Journey So Far
Our achievement collection took shape in a number of ways, whether it was in proof of belonging during the early access, limited festive collectibles, or claiming achievements along your Bebop trading journey.
17k unique wallets claimed more than 90k achievements since we introduced our first achievements in September 2022.
What’s next? Reimagining the collection: Bebop Achievements 2.0
We’ve decided to infuse new life into our achievements by embracing creative freedom with designs while collecting achievements. The revitalized Bebop Achievements now take the form of a lively Bumper Stickers Collection allowing you to showcase your trading milestones and add even more excitement to your trading journey on Bebop.
