Kick of meeting with students and teachers

Last week on a Saturday morning, ReDI kicked off its meeting for the upcoming batch at Steelcase office in Munich. It was great to see such an excited group of people talking with each other and the friendly atmosphere around.

Sophie and Alejandra explained the story of ReDI and how it grew with time, citing that Angela Merkel and Mark Zukerberg visited them at their Berlin office. Part of the introduction was also an ice breaker, where all of us were asked to greet one another in our native language and talk to them. ReDI believes in the power of “Hello” which is indeed the trigger of any conversation.

Different robots created by students

After a while, the students and teachers were divided into different groups and asked to create a robot using the provided materials. The robots had to represent the group they were part of. It was a stimulating exercise and I personally enjoyed the outcome: the various robots presented by all the groups.

It was a pleasure being part of such an exciting day at ReDI as a mentor as well as a representative of Beck et al., which will be supporting the workshops for the upcoming semester. Thanks to Birgit, Yoana, and Sophie for the wonderful welcome and helping me out in connecting with teachers. Looking forward to a fruitful collaboration in the next months.
