Spot on Aytekin Tank. Entrepreneurship has somehow become popular, and having a 9–5 uncool as you’ve stated.
What I’ve come to realise in recent years is that a lot of it has to do with:
- Understanding your personal values,
- Getting clear on what type of environment (and people) you need around you to thrive, and
- Working out how comfortable you are with financial uncertainty and constant change (which is common when you run your own business).
I’ve found Roger Hamilton’s Wealth Dynamics test to be a good tool for identifying your strengths and who you need to surround yourself to win.
As you say, you can have tremendous success by not being the business owner but working within a great team and company culture.
