“Legislative leaders are actively tying the hands of local leaders who are working hard every day to protect their residents.”

That’s what Katie Matheson, deputy director of the progressive advocacy organization Alliance for a Better Utah, said about a bill from Republican Utah Sen. Dan McCay that would overturn Salt Lake County’s mask mandate. The Utah Senate passed it.
