This week I had the pleasure of speaking at Denver Startup Week, the largest free entrepreneurial event of it’s kind. With over 13,000 participants, 300+ sessions at locations across the city, 54 sponsors and over 300 volunteers, collaborative and welcoming, it’s Denver/Boulder startup culture at it’s finest! A lot of people in Denver would rather keep this a secret, but Denver frequently ranks as one of the best places to live, work and startup in the U.S. 🗻 🙌 .

Denver, I love this town!

The team at Robots & Pencils responsible for Beep Boop works out of our office in Castle Rock, CO just south of Denver. Incidentally, It’s hard to beat the 20 miles of single track trails just outside our doorstep 🚵 😉.

Let’s Talk about Bots

I was honored to be joined by my coworker from Calgary, UX researcher Dr. Jonathan Haber. We gave our perspectives on the driving factors behind the momentum, emergence and hype of chatbots, as well as offered 10 suggestions for building human 2 bot (H2B) interface (19:25, slide 21) and five lessons learned from building our brand new, soon to be released, Beep Boop Slack App (51:52, slide 68). Below is the deck and video of the talk.
