Guide to NEAR Wallet Transition: Migrate your NEAR Wallet for Popula
Dear Popula Bees,
As of last week, the official NEAR wallet has ceased to operate as a wallet provider and has transformed into a central landing page for compatible wallets within the NEAR ecosystem.
To ensure continued seamless exploration of Popula and other applications across the NEAR ecosystem, we encourage you to migrate your NEAR wallet to other wallet providers. This guide will walk you through the process of transitioning to new wallets and effortlessly interacting with and exploring Popula with your new wallet.
1. Migrating Your Wallet:
Follow the official guide provided by NEAR Protocol for migrating your wallet: Migrating from Near Wallet. Choose to import your wallet using your recovery phrase, Ledger, or use the Wallet Transfer Wizard for bulk transfers.

Popula currently supports the following wallets:
💡 Nightly Wallet and Welldone Wallet are not yet supported by Popula, so make sure to transfer your wallet to one of the recommended wallets mentioned above.
2. Signing Out From Popula:
After you’ve set up your new wallet, ensure you sign out from Popula if you’re currently signed in with the official NEAR Wallet. This is important to avoid potential errors.
To sign out from Popula, go to “Settings” and select “Sign out”.
Alternatively, you can also sign out from your profile, setting or notification page by clicking the “exit” icon on your profile card at the bottom left of the page.
3. Signing In With The New Wallet:
After signing out, click “Sign in” on Popula.
Choose to sign in with an NEAR wallet.
Select the wallet you migrated your account to and sign in with your new wallet. Ensure your new wallet is ready before signing in.
