Exploring Berlin Through Your Lens: A Hands-On Workshop for Street Reportage Photography and Editorial Production
For the many years I have lived in Berlin, the 1st of May, or May Day, is the day that I love most in Berlin for Photography. You can imagine thousand and thousand of people out in the street, who protest, who have fun, who works, and so on.
Many crazy things happen during the day and all on the same day. An opportunity for a photographer, almost comparable to an eclipse. It is an event that happens one time per year ( Not during the Pandemic ) and this year, I created a workshop, to handle the entire day and produce a unique volume of Photographs of the day.
I want to share with others my knowledge and experience about this crazy day in Berlin.

Are you looking for a unique way to experience Berlin and learn new skills at the same time? Join us for our two-day Street Reportage Photography and Editorial Production workshop, taking place on May 1st, in the heart of Berlin.
During this workshop, you will learn how to handle an entire day of shooting in the city, capturing the best pictures that represent the day. We’ll divide photographers into groups and areas of the city to get the most out of our time.
We’ll have two meeting points in the city where we can come together every 3 hours, and there will be a private group on Telegram where we can share news about our movement in the city and situations.
After the day of shooting, we’ll have a second day of meetings where we’ll choose the best pictures of each person and start working on the composition of the magazine. We’ll print a test copy of the zine and a copy for each member who joined the workshop. No knowledge of photography is required, and all you need is a camera or phone that allows you to take pictures.
This workshop is limited to a maximum of 20 participants, ensuring personalized attention from the instructor. You’ll have the opportunity to meet like-minded people, explore the city, and learn new skills while having fun.
May Day in Berlin is an exciting day filled with street festivals, parties, and concerts. The center of celebrations around German Labor Day is the Myfest in Kreuzberg. However, May Day is celebrated all over the city with events for the whole family.
The night of April 30th, known as Walpurgis Night, is also celebrated in Berlin with dancing events and celebrations. This old tradition is still honored today, and you’ll have the opportunity to be a part of it while exploring the city and capturing its essence through your photography.

The price includes two days of the workshop and a copy of the zine produced during the workshop. Each additional copy will have the cost of printing, which will be determined during the workshop.
