To be honest, writing this happy roundup has been difficult this week because so many people are too happy.

People flocked to beaches in irrational numbers. (No, not π or e or √2. Irrationally large numbers.) We’re still having civil unrest over whether to wear a mask, because it’s apparently an infringement of civil liberties to ask people to consider public…
