BelfastLive launches list of 35 under 35s doing amazing things in home city
A local news website has doubled down on its promise to celebrate the city it reports on by launching a new list higlighting people under 35 doing amazing things in its area.
BelfastLive’s 35 under 35 list was unveiled last week, along with a launch event packed with people who appeared on the list.
The website was launched nine years ago, and was publisher Reach’s first digital-only brand launch.
Editor Sheena McStravick said: “It was important to the team at Belfast Live to bring everyone together and celebrate their successes.
“Belfast Live is the news outlet for everyone in Northern Ireland and our 35 under 35 list reflects that with a fantastic group of people who has made their mark in their own unique way.
“Everyone who has made the list is incredibly deserving and should be so proud of everything they have achieved in their young years.”
BelfastLive marketing manager Justin Miller told people gathered at the event: “Belfast Live, as the largest digital news outlet in Northern Ireland, stands by its promise to be the news outlet for everyone in every community.
“I think this list reflects just that. It has change makers, entertainment stars and some of the most exciting business minds in the country all in one place.”
Sheena said that they had been overwhelmed by responses when they launched an appeal for nominations for the list.
