Cherries promotion leads to back-to-back celebration splashes
The promotion of AFC Bournemouth back to the Premier League made the front page two days in a row for the town’s Daily Echo newspaper.
The Echo cleared its front on May 4 after the Cherries secured a 1–0 win over promotion rivals Nottingham Forest
Not surprisingly, it was back page news, too.
Coverage continued the following day too, as town leaders revealed they expected the whole community to benefit from the promotion success.
While on the back page, AFC Bournemouth boss celebrated the promotion by thanking his families for the sacrifices they have made:
The paper has now begun creating its perfect promotion XI, pitting players from the 2014–15 promotion against this year’s winners.
