Facebook viral list: Animals and war ships were big news in May

Every month, Behind Local News uses Crowdtangle to look at the ‘most viral’ stories from local news over the past month.

We do this using Crowdtangle’s scoring system which shows the popularity of a page’s posts relative to the typical reach of content posted by that page. For this list, we look at posts weighted by likes, comments and shares. Any title can only appear once in the list.

This means that the list should include titles of all sizes and audiences from across the UK.

Once again, the list shows Facebook users to be animal lovers … and fans of war machinery too….
