MyLondon is visiting 365 communities across London during 2023

A website covering London has vowed to paint a picture of the city by profiling 365 communities in the capital.

Publisher Reach has announced a new project to engage with all neighbourhoods, high streets and estates across London.

Throughout 2023, MyLondon reporters will be visiting 365 communities across the capital in a bid to ensure that every corner of the city is well-represented.

The aim of the project is to give a much richer picture of life across all parts of the city.

London365 will give a voice to neighbourhoods which have historically had less direct representation in the media and will strengthen the relationship between MyLondon and its communities.

Following the first month of the project which began 1st January, MyLondon reporters have so far visited neighbourhoods including Acton, Tufnell Park, Canary Wharf, Wapping and Barking getting to know the locals and the topics that matter most to them.

Andy Worden, MyLondon Editor said: “With hundreds of neighbourhoods across London we’ve been very aware that, even four years after launching the site, there’s always more we could do to get under the skin of what’s really happening in a community.

“This project will help us find out what’s great about different parts of the city and also what needs to be done to make life better for local residents.

“We hope it will enhance our audiences in different parts of the city and allow our reporters to make valuable new contacts. With many of the pieces we’ve done, simply by visiting the neighbourhoods we’ve come across other really strong stories when chatting to people who we meet there.”

David Bartlett, Reach Audience and Content Director, London and South East said: “London365 is the embodiment of our commitment to keep expanding the coverage of MyLondon to reach as many people as possible.

“We’re really proud of the way MyLondon has progressed since its launch in late 2018, covering so many stories each day that would have otherwise gone untold.

“We hope that London365 will be informative and interesting to the current MyLondon audience, reach new audiences, and tell the stories of ordinary Londoners about the places they live.”

MyLondon was launched in December 2018 as a London-wide news website, targeted at readers who live in the capital. Take a look at the latest London365 stories here.
