Newsquest launches cost of living campaign to help readers save money

Newsquest — the UK’s leading local media group —has launched the “Your Money Matters” campaign to help its readers overcome the surge in the cost of living.

Across its 160 daily and weekly newsbrands in the UK, the publisher has stated that the campaign’s “mission” is to offer money-saving deals, competitions, giveaways and insightful stories from local communities on the impact the cost of living crisis is having on readers.

The campaign was prompted by this year’s host of household price increases — from the energy price cap rise to surging inflation and food prices — costing its readers hundreds or even thousands of pounds extra per year.

Newsquest editorial director Toby Granville said: “We’re facing a perfect storm of increased costs at every turn but there is help out there for people who are struggling.

“Clearly this is a worrying time for many and that’s why in our newspapers we will be offering solutions, support and tips on how our readers can overcome the crisis.”
