Two new football correspondents appointed to cover East Midlands teams
Reach has appointed two new football correspondents in the East Midlands to lead their coverage of Nottingham Forest and Leicester City.
Sarah Clapson will be NottinghamshireLive’s new Nottingham Forest Correspondent and Jordan Blackwell has been appointed Leicester City Correspondent for LeicestershireLive.
Jon Birchall, Editor (Football) for Reach Regionals said: “We’re delighted to have Sarah and Jordan driving our coverage of two huge footballing institutions in the East Midlands.
“Sarah has already built a fantastic rapport with Forest supporters as evidenced by her weekly Q&As with fans and in Jordan we have a superbly talented journalist who cares deeply about Leicester. I wish them both the best of luck in their new roles.”
Sarah said: “I am thrilled, massively excited and hugely honoured to have taken on the role of Nottingham Forest correspondent.
“Forest is a special club — one with an incredibly rich and illustrious history, as well as a very promising future. Reds fans are also some of the most passionate around.
“I am very much looking forward to leading our Forest coverage and feel extremely proud, not to mention privileged, to have taken up this position.”
Jordan said: “I’m over the moon to take on the role, one which I feel like I’ve been preparing for my whole life.
“As both a journalist and a fan, I’ve lived through the highest and lowest points in Leicester’s 135-year history following the rollercoaster of the past decade and I’m really excited to be able to report on the next step of the journey.
“I’m passionate about local journalism and aim for LeicestershireLive to provide the most informative, engaging and thorough coverage of the club and the issues that matter to fans.”
