This year Taskfeed will be sponsoring London’s Calling for the second year. Community events are so much fun to sponsor — it’s also a great way to speak with lots of people who are as enthusiastic about Salesforce as I am! The downside is I miss the sessions because I am working after all.

When I scanned the list of sessions I was blown away. There are over 30 sessions throughout the day with 4 sessions running at a time and they all sound awesome. With so many great sessions and all the knowledge being shared it can be difficult to pick which sessions to go to.

I thought it would be fun to build my #DreamAgenda so if I can sneak off the Taskfeed booth for 30mins I know where to scamper off to.

The day is broken down like this:
0830 Registration
0900 Welcome and opening keynote from Peter Coffee
1000 Morning session 1
1130 Morning session 2
1200 DemoJam
1300 Lunch
1400 Afternoon session 1
1435 Afternoon session 2
1515 Afternoon session 3
1630 Keynote from Belinda Parmar OBE
1730 Closing Remarks
1800 After party
2000 Home time

My #DreamAgenda for London’s Calling 2017

For each slot, I have selected the session that I would attend given the opportunity – if you see me at one of these don’t tell Shaun I snuck off. 😆

Artificial Intelligence for the Enterprise — Is this stuff real? by Dave Carroll First off it’s Dave Carrol. Dave is a Developer Evangelist for Salesforce so he does interesting technical talks regularly and they are always great. While I do love that at these events we get to hear from the community the opportunity to hear from Dave Carol on all this AI and Einstein lark grabbed my attention.

How to build a lean mean inside-sales machine in Salesforce by Roy Gilad — This stands out to me as a more business focused sessions. With most sessions being technical in nature about the how do get a specific feature within Salesforce working, or how to make implementations successful this is a great approach.

DemoJam — The DemoJam is an opportunity to see five or six AppExchange products demoed back to back, 3mins each, no slides. I will be demoing Taskfeed for my second DemoJam following French Touch Dreamin’. If you want a nerve-racking experience how about demoing an app in 3-minutes with no slides… oh and I didn’t mention the audience votes for the best demo.

Remember to vote for Taskfeed!!! …please!?

10 Commandments for writing spiffy lightning apps by Anup Jadhav — Anup is a friend and former colleague and also one of the sharpest guys I’ve met. He seriously knows his stuff. The “10 commandments” format is a great way of ensuring you will have actionable takeaways from the session. This is what I look for in sessions either a Peter Coffee mind-bending experience or something where I know I can walk away having learnt something I can put into action tomorrow.

The need for speed: Building performant applications by Paul Battisson — Performance is something that can become obsessive. I remember a few years back Paul published a blog series on the various types of loops in Apex and their impact on performance. If that sounds boring stay away, if like me that's a hook then you must attend.

Lightning Data Service — Build Lightning Components using a Standard Controller by Marcus Torres — On my never-ending quest to increase your knowledge around Lightning and development best practices around Lightning this seems like the place for me. This looks to be a great session for any developer still grappling with the technology change happening under our feet.

Writing True Unit Tests using Dependency Injection and Mocking by Alex Tennant — Better testing is always helpful. This session sounds like Alex will give us a number of patterns to improve how we are building our tests and building mock data.

It’s payback time: Elimination Technical Dept by Angela Mahoney — Who doesn't suffer from Technical Debt? It’ is difficult to convince the business that we need to deal with it. This sounds like a great session with non-technical advice around a technical subject. This would be ideal for admins and developers alike.

Things you never knew your MavensMate could do! by Carolina Ruiz
& Paul Battisson — For the non-developers out there MavensMate is a Salesforce plug-in to help with Salesforce development maintained by Joe Ferraro at Mavens Consulting. Carolina and Paul (yes from earlier) are going to share some tips and tricks about features most people do not know even exist!

This is my #DreamAgenda — what’s yours? Share your #DreamAgenda or the sessions you are looking forward to with the hashtag #DreamAgenda

Taskfeed is a Platinum sponsor of London’s Calling. Community events like this could not be possible without the support from sponsors. This is a great opportunity to speak directly with the community and I am personally very excited to help and be a part of a great event.
